Fisherman can experience the trip down through the Vineyards and past the renown Montaluce Winery and Restaraunt to where the cool waters of the Etowah River hold both Rainbow and Brown Trout. Loctaed less than 10 minutes from Downtown Dahlonega, this is truly a guide trip that will leave everyone smiling, from beginners to expert fishermen!

Fishing on the Etowah River-

Fishing on the Etowah is very unique for Georgia Private water fishing, anglers will find Rainbow and Brown trout situated in Fast Plunge pools and deep runs as the river comes off the south side of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This is more mountainous faster water than the soque river, as well as a larger section of river. Fish over 18 inches can be expected on a full day of fishing with fish 24 inches+ being present as well!

The Property

While we have multiple points of access on the Etowah river one of our favorites is the section that lies inside of the Montaluce Winery and Vineyard. This section boasts over a mile of private river acess and provides an upscale trip like no other! Anglers can wrap up their day on the river and drive right up the hill to enjoy some of the best Local wine available as well as a great meal at one of the two restaurants on site
